Automated Cash Management Series

Ken Smith, Inc. offers a complete cash handling depository safe system that is designed for the sole purpose of dealing with internal theft that is synonymous with the high cash handling retail environment. Just 30 U.S. retail companies lost over $5 billion to shoplifting and employee theft in 2001, according to the Fourteenth (14th) Annual Retail Theft Survey. Only one dollar was recovered for every $27.95 was lost to retail theft.

NKL Intellisafe with AuditLok XLV

Designed for virtually any type of safe, the AuditLok XLV electronics are used on Intellisafe models to make it the new standard in electronic lock control packages. The Intellisafe is a cash handling safe featuring an interior compartment with manual drop drawer, 5-point premium bolt-work hardware, automatic locking mechanism, and burglary resistant lock with relocker. The Intellisafe models are designed to integrate with Autobank safes and V1 Validators for comprehensive cash control. Intellisafe units equipped with the AuditLok XLV electronics are compatable with NKL Edge software.

The AuditLok XLV electronics package used on the AXC Intellisafe enables it to serve as a system controller for optional add-on remote Autobank dispensing or validating safes. Remote versions of the Intellisafe can also be designed to allow addition of Intellisafe hardware to an existing Autobank controlled cash handling system.

NKL Autobank D8

Designed for virtually any type of safe, the AuditLok XLV electronics are used on the D8 Autobank forming one of three dispensing Autobank models. The Autobank is a controller unit featuring complete electronics capable of interfacing with and controlling multiple remote dispensing and/or bill validating Autobanks. It can function as an economical stand-alone dispensing unit to provide simple vend and door controls or it can be configured for advanced audit, printing, modem, or system integration features. The Autobank are supported by NKL Edge software.

D8C Autobank Features

D8 Cash Handling safes feature an interior compartment with manual drop drawer, 3-point low-profile NKL bolt-work hardware, automatic locking detent mechanism, and burglary resistant lock. The dispensing assembly holds up to 80 tubes (8 columns hold up to 10 tubes each). A tube-lock prevents unauthorized tube loading. Users log in with their identifier (electronic key or user number) and request to vend using the quick-action buttons and numeric keypad.

The Autobank's 4-line fluorescent display makes it possible for the operator to easily see on-screen instructions, making it easier than ever to follow directions and efficiently use the safe's dispensing capabilities. The AuditLok XLV keypad also allows quick access to other advanced features such as printing reports, programming users or configuration parameters, and even more advanced features, such as buying change. The unit also features Medeco key switches for manager and armor car door access.

V1 Validator

V1 models feature a validating bill acceptor that reads, validates, and securely stores currency. The cash handling safes feature a high quality MARS or JCM bill validator, 3-point low-profile bolt-work hardware, automatic locking detent mechanism, and burglary resistant lock. Locking and non-locking cassettes hold 1000 or 1200 bills, depending on the specific options chosen. Users may make validated drops using any of several procedures, depending on the situation and what other safes are in the system.

V1 Validators work in conjunction with V2 Validators and the Intellisafe and Autobank systems for complete cash handling control. The V1 Validator is a simple device that you can trust to perform reliably, time and time again. The low jam and high acceptance rate mean more transactions, less down time, and less frustration.

Validating Autobank V2

Designed for virtually any type of safe, the AuditLok XLV electronics are used on the V2 Autobank. V2 models feature a pair of validating bill acceptors that read, validate, and securely store currency. Controller and remote units are available. The V2 is supported by NKL Edge software.

About Edge

The most powerful package of its kind available today, the NKL Edge Software combined with AuditLok XLV cash handling technology allows you to see what is going on in all your business locations. You can see the amount of cash flowing through the stores, who is handling the cash, and you can quickly and easily identify problems with operation, personnel, or equipment.

Edge Reports

Nearly all of the reports available at the safe are available at your PC when you connect remotely using an external Ethernet/RS232 device or external modem. If you are at the store with your PC, you can even connect directly. Reports available include the complete (or custom filtered) audit trail history, cash on hand, current or past end of day and deposit reports, user shift reports, a report listing enrolled users, system hardware component list, and more. You choose whether to connect manually, or allow your PC to automatically connect and obtain report data according to a predetermined schedule.

Edge Plus

Edge Plus is the more advanced form of the Edge application. It includes all of the powerful capabilities of Edge, plus it allows you to edit the remote system. You can completely setup a system from a remote PC, including enrolling and managing users, setting delays, and so forth. If you have a problem with an employee or manager, log in with Edge Plus and edit their system permissions or even eliminate them completely from the system, all from the comfort of the corporate office or your laptop. Buy a supply of keys and when a store needs a key; send it out pre-enrolled with no hassle. If a store location changes operating hours, save the phone time and just log in remotely to edit the store system's timelocks.

FSC Components: The MS Series

Enhance the security of your check cashing system and automate your cash handling functions with the MS400, MS500 or the MS610. These versatile cash dispensers provide a secure environment for your currency, while enhancing all of your cash out procedures.

The dispenser is encased in a UL 291 security safe enclosure with an electronic lock. The small footprint allows for under counter installation. Optional security features can be added to the dispenser, making it an extension of the vault cash area.

The MS cash dispensing series offers a cost effective, space saving solution to currency dispensing. These compact dispensers provide the ability to dispense from one to four denominations. The pick and spray module provides a stream of currency at an average of 120 notes in approximately 20 seconds. A convenient front access presentation port provides left and right indicator lights for use in a dual workstation environment. The MS400 provides efficient handling of low quality currency.

Additional Security features provided by the MS400, MS500, and the MS610 protect the vulnerability of both your cash and your personnel. These systems reduce the amount of money needed in the cash drawer, thus decreasing the exposure of easily accessible cash to both internal and external theft.
