Remote Teller Systems: TransTrax System vs. Pneumatic Tube System

TransTrax

The TransTrax system is quickly becoming the industry standard in customer satisfaction and convenience. It is perhaps the most user-friendly remote system currently available. The most attractive feature: the ability to stop the carrier at varying heights to serve customers in small sports cars as well as large trucks or SUVs.

The TransTrax requires no electrical power on the island and has a very small footprint. The vertical sections are only two inches by three inches, and because of the low profile, can be installed in virtually any size island. Those features enhance the outward appearance of your institution and provide a cleaner, clearer line of sight between tellers and customers.

The carrier itself is designed with the customer in mind and should one become lost or damaged, it can be replaced for around $10 compared to $100+ for traditional carriers. The document carrier is box-like in shape, creating greater capacity and making it more accessible.

The system uses a unique push-pull tape drive. It has no valves, uses only one motor, which has a rated life of 20 times greater than that of a typical pneumatic tube. It requires only one 110-volt circuit, which is positioned inside the building above the teller workspace. Because of so few moving parts, maintenance costs are generally very low.

Lobby Teller System Remotes

Lobby Teller Systems (LTS) have become a unique, effective way to still offer personal, one-on-one service while holding down your most expensive cost - personnel. The LTS features a bank of fully automated teller stations - all connected to a back room by phone, video and pneumatics. Customers or members use a traditional telephone handset to say hello to a backroom teller on the viewing screen. Customers can complete transactions using the mini-tubes on their remote unit. The LTS units promote a more personable feel and offer complete conversation privacy between the customer and teller when communicating through the handset receiver. And one backroom teller can handle multiple transactions at the same time.
